The Parade, which is taking place on October 9th 2009, will celebrate the journey of a 100 years. The aim of the Parade is to commemorate the 10th anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah the II’s accession to the throne and to celebrate the municipality’s Centennial Anniversary of the founding of its first Municipal Council in 1909.

Taking place in the heart of Amman, the Parade will start at the Roman Theatre and ends after approximately 2.5km at The Greater Amman Municipality complex at Ras Al Ain.

We invite you to come and watch the Parade which begins at 3:00pm on Friday, During the 3 hour event, thousands of Jordanians who will attend and partake in celebrating the city of Amman along side over 2000 participants, 10floats, Khayaleh (horse mounted police) and Hajaneh(camel mounted soldiers), infantry units such as folk music bands, sports teams, school and university students and scouting groups, as well as representatives of various unions and professions in addition to celebraties.
For those who will not be able to attend, will have the opportunity to watch the live coverage on Jordan TV channels ( Terrestrial & Satellite ).
